Annual report and accounts

Our Annual Report and Accounts reviews our performance and highlights the work that we’ve undertaken to meet our aims and objectives.

This has been a landmark year for our organisation. Most significantly, we relaunched as Liver UK, creating a stronger, united voice for everyone affected by liver disease and liver cancer across the UK. We are here for everyone, at every stage of life and with every type of liver disease, ensuring no one faces it alone.

Throughout the year, we were here for people affected by liver disease across the UK through our trusted information, support and campaigning. More than 1.7 million people accessed our website for expert liver health information, while our helpline offered the time, expertise and reassurance that busy NHS services are not always able to offer. Our support groups and online communities connected people with others who truly understand the realities of living with liver disease.

Alongside our new identity, we launched our strategy, Building Momentum, Changing Lives, setting out how we will improve liver health through support, early detection, better treatment and championing research. Our vision is a future where fewer people develop liver disease, more people are diagnosed early, and everyone receives the care and support they need.

Through campaigns including Love Your Liver, Liver Cancer Awareness Month and Yellow Alert, we raised awareness, challenged stigma and encouraged more people to take action for their liver health. We also strengthened our work with policymakers, healthcare professionals and researchers to drive improvements in diagnosis, treatment and care, helping to put liver health firmly on the national agenda.

There is still much to do, but we face the future with confidence and determination. Together, we are building momentum, changing lives, and creating a better future for people of all ages affected by liver disease and liver cancer.
