Online fundraising tips

Here are some top tips for fundraising online:

  • Tell your story - help people to understand why your fundraising is important to you. People will donate more if they know your reason for fundraising.
  • Talk about the charity - let people know how we have helped yourself and others, and that their generosity could enable even more people to be helped.
  • Add a photo - This will make your page more personal and bring it to life.
  • Add a target - pages with targets raise much more that those without!
  • Share your progress on social media - your friends are more likely to sponsor you when they see the hard work you're putting in.
  • The final push - Some people will sponsor you after the event is over - so remember to share your success with everyone afterwards.

If you haven't done so already, you can set up your fundraising page on JustGiving.

How your fundraising is spent

We can only deliver our work thanks to donations:

  • £25 could help fund a call to our nurse-led helpline for someone desperate for answers.
  • £50 could provide trusted information to a worried family facing an uncertain diagnosis.
  • £75 could connect a young person to peer support, helping them feel less alone.
  • £100 could help more families access the support and specialist guidance they urgently need.
