Community scanning and awareness events

Our mobile scanning unit is available for hire for community awareness, scanning and liver cancer surveillance events . With two full-size scanning rooms and a third room which can be used for testing or consultations, the unit can help you increase awareness of the risks of liver disease and identify those who may have advanced fibrosis and cirrhosis.

Working in partnership with ODN and Health Board teams, we have used our mobile unit to deliver community events aimed at finding people with undiagnosed advanced liver damage and bringing them into clinical pathways for assessment, treatment and surveillance.

The mobile unit also hosts the our highly successful Love Your Liver roadshows nationwide which help improve people’s knowledge of liver health risk factors and find those at risk who would not otherwise have been aware.

Scanning, surveillance and information events

We offer our mobile scanning unit to ODNs and other NHS teams for their own scanning and information events.

The unit is equipped with two full-size scanning rooms, with a third room that can be used for testing (such as BBV testing), consultations or meetings. This makes it an invaluable resource for:

The NHS drive to check for liver disease and liver cancer in high-risk individuals has shown great promise in detecting those with cirrhosis or advanced fibrosis at a much earlier stage.

Included within the hire price:

Liver UK mobile unit with two full-size scanning rooms equipped with FibroScan machines (M and XL probes)
Couch roll, gloves, ultrasound gel, tissues, hand sanitiser
Engineer responsible for transport, set-up and operation of the mobile unit
Liver UK team members to help manage the event
Identification and management of sites and locations (arrangement of access, permits etc.)
