Liver Cancer UK launched to improve the lives and outcomes of those affected by liver cancer

October 27, 2022

We are proud to announce the launch of Liver Cancer UK, part of the British Liver Trust, which has been launched so that everyone living with liver cancer has better access to high-quality information and we can better advocate on their behalf.  With a new dedicated website and set of resources, it will make it much easier for people to find us and access support.

At the British Liver Trust, we are committed to improving the outcomes and lives of people with, and at risk of, liver disease and liver cancer.

While we are pleased to be recognised as the UK’s leading charity for people affected by liver disease, we need to do more to help people understand and feel connected to our work within the liver cancer community.

Following research and conversations with patients and healthcare professionals, we recognised that in order to put a spotlight on our work with liver cancer, we needed to develop a separate identity closely linked to the British Liver Trust that would help us stand out.

In collaboration with clinical experts and people affected by liver cancer, we’ve developed Liver Cancer UK. Through this programme of activity, we will build on our work within the liver cancer community and maximize the impact of our campaigning to improve early diagnosis and drive up standards of care.

Liver Cancer UK, as part of the British Liver Trust, will be dedicated to saving and improving the lives of people affected by liver cancer by raising awareness, providing support, and campaigning for faster diagnosis and more research into treatments and cure.

Liver Cancer UK, which will create a stronger united voice for all people with liver disease and liver cancer, will exist to:
