The British Liver Trust’s Love Your Liver roadshow took central stage at the world’s premier international liver event.
EASL’s International Liver Congress is this year took place in Excel, 22–26 June. Over 7,000 delegates from 114 countries came together in London to present and discuss the latest scientific achievements in liver disease diagnosis and treatment.
At the conference, we showcased our work to raise awareness of liver disease and its risk factors across the UK and will met global liver experts to highlight the importance of early diagnosis to tackle the liver disease epidemic.
Late diagnosis is a worldwide problem for liver disease as damage to the liver can develop silently and there are usually no symptoms in the early stages.
Delegates were invited to our Love Your Liver unit to see the innovative ways the UK is promoting awareness and early detection to prevent unnecessary deaths from liver disease.
