About me
I have the honour of being the Children and Families Officer at Liver UK and have worked with the charity, previously CLDF, for nearly eight years. My role is all about supporting children, young people and their families through the many different challenges that can come with childhood liver disease. I really enjoy meeting new families, getting to know them and building relationships over time. A big part of my role is being someone families can come back to for practical advice, emotional support, advocacy and reassurance throughout their journey.
Why Liver UK matters
What matters most to me is that families do not have to navigate childhood liver disease alone. I’ve seen how much difference it can make to have someone who listens, understands the wider impact on family life and can offer support when things feel overwhelming. Life with a chronic illness, often an invisible one, can at times feel very lonely. I value being able to walk alongside families over time, whether that means helping with practical advice, school issues, supporting siblings, advocating on their behalf, or simply being a familiar person they can turn to. It is a real privilege to build those relationships and see children and families grow in confidence, resilience and hope.
