The British Liver Trust congratulates Chairman Sir Alastair King DL on knighthood

The British Liver Trust is delighted to congratulate its Chairman, Sir Alastair King DL, on being named to receive a knighthood in the King’s Birthday Honours on Saturday 12th June.

The honour recognises Sir Alastair’s outstanding contribution to public life, business and charitable causes. Throughout his distinguished career, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a steadfast commitment to making a positive difference in society.

In particular, Sir Alastair has been a passionate advocate for raising awareness of liver disease and driving progress in prevention, treatment and patient outcomes. He has also earned widespread recognition for his support of the defence supply chain and for championing the Armed Forces Covenant across the City. In addition, he established the City Belonging initiative, bringing together people from different faiths and backgrounds to foster dialogue, understanding and community engagement.

Commenting on the announcement, Pamela Healy OBE, Chief Executive Officer of the British Liver Trust, said:

Sir Alastair has served as Chairman of the British Liver Trust since 2023, providing invaluable guidance, leadership and support as the organisation continues to grow and deliver for its beneficiaries, partners and stakeholders.

The trustees, leadership team and colleagues across the British Liver Trust extend their sincere congratulations to Sir Alastair and his family on this outstanding achievement.
