We are delighted have recently secured a Westminster Hall debate on ‘diagnosis of liver disease and liver cancer’ on Tuesday 11th October. The debate is a fantastic opportunity for us to raise the profile of the liver disease crisis at Westminster and engage directly with the Minister.
The debate will be led by Margaret Ferrier MP (Vice Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on liver disease and liver cancer) and the Minister responding to the debate will be Will Quince MP (Department of Health and Social Care). Wayne David MP (APPG Chair) has confirmed he will also be participating.

While liver disease is almost entirely preventable (90%), three quarters of people with cirrhosis are diagnosed when it’s too late for effective intervention or treatment. This debate is a critical opportunity to raise liver disease up the political agenda and drive public awareness of the importance of early diagnosis – ultimately saving lives and improving patient outcomes.
