Michelle Wilkins

Head of Children and Families Service

Michelle has worked for the charity since 2024 in the merge between British Liver Trust and Children’s Liver Disease Foundation which she joined in 2018. She heads our Children and Families Service, leading on our paediatric liver community work and managing a support team across the UK to ensure that all parents, children, young people and adults affected by rare childhood liver disease are supported as early as possible in their journey. She is also dedicated to ensuring that the voices of children, young people and parents are integral to policy and healthcare developments within the rare liver world, alongside advocating on a national and international level. Prior to joining Children’s Liver Disease Foundation Michelle managed both national and regional services within the third sector over the past 20 years. These have included holistic family support, careers support and employability, health and wellbeing and independent living. She has also managed facilities accessed by young people
